Is this the
right study for you?

This study is looking for adults who have a diabetic foot wound or a venous leg ulcer (a sore on the lower leg caused by poor blood flow) that has not healed despite several weeks of standard wound care.

✓ You Likely Qualify If…

You are 21 years of age or older

The study is open to adults 21 and over with a long-lasting diabetic foot wound or venous leg ulcer.

✓ You Likely Qualify If…

Your wound has been open for 4-52 weeks

Your wound must have been present for at least 4 weeks but no longer than 52 weeks (about 1 year), despite ongoing wound care.

✓ You Likely Qualify If…

Your wound is between a small and a medium size

The wound needs to be at least 1 cm² (about the size of a large pea) and no larger than 20 cm² (roughly the size of a small donut after cleaning).

✓ You Likely Qualify If…

You can come to the clinic once a week

The treatment phase involves weekly clinic visits for 12 weeks. The clinic team will work with you to make scheduling as easy as possible.

✗ This May Not Be Right If…

Your wound is currently infected

If your wound is infected, you are taking antibiotics for it, or the skin around it is red and swollen (cellulitis), this isn't the right time.

✗ This May Not Be Right If…

You had a wound graft or oxygen therapy recently

If you received a skin substitute, wound graft, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the last 30 days, there is a waiting period before you can join.

All wound care during the study, including clinic exams, wound measurements, and lab tests (and graft applications for eligible participants), is provided completely free of charge.

Clinic screening visits

Two visits to the clinic. The team takes your history, measures your wound, and checks you are suitable for the study.

2 visits - 2 weeks

12-week treatment period

Receive the advanced wound graft and standard care at weekly clinic visits. All treatment is at no cost throughout.

15 visits - 12 weeks
4

Final assessment

A final visit at or around week 12–14 to confirm your wound's progress. After this, you return to your regular wound care routine.
